My story

Hi,

I was born in Seoul but grew up in NZ. On summer breaks, I'd visit my relatives in Seoul. My aunt and cousins would show me how to use rice water to wash my face, the proper way to double cleanse and at the end of the day, we'd wear sheet masks while watching television together. This idea of beauty as part of a broader lifestyle charmed me and it became the inspiration for Yeon&bee.

In 2017, I was lucky enough to start writing Kbeauty articles for Vogue Australia. I decided to quit my job working at a university to pursue my own business, creating a collection of carefully selected organic-focused Korean skincare while sharing stories of beautiful women in Korea.
