Top 3 Sheet Masks for Dry, Winter Skin

Two things get me through the unforgiving chill of winter — soup and sheet masks. To be frank, I can live without the soup, but the sheet mask is what keeps my face from looking like a husk when the temperature takes a dive.

Since sheet masks are not all created equal, here are my top three thirst-quenchers.

1) PAPA RECIPE BOMBEE BLACK HONEY MASK

Use if: your skin is dry and/or acne-prone

Star ingredient(s): Organic Manuka Honey from New Zealand and Propolis Extract. Honey is moisturising and anti-bacterial making it a popular ingredient in Korean skincare.

About the brand: Papa Recipe prides itself on its natural philosophy hence the emphasis on organic content.

Fun fact: As the name suggests, this mask is completely black. Like all sheet masks, it’ll give you the requisite axe-murderer look.

Rating: 5/5

2) LEADERS INSOLUTION AQUARINGER MASK

Use if: your skin is dry and/or tired.

Star ingredient(s): Alpine glacier water.

About the brand: If Papa Recipe is Korea’s hippy dippy honey-lover, Leaders is the mad scientist. Created and tested by dermatologists, the Leaders range is incredibly popular and Insolution Aquaringer is one of their bestsellers.

Rating: 4.5/5

3) MY BEAUTY DIARY HYALURONIC ACID MOISTURISING MASK

Use if: your skin is dry and/or you have fine lines.

Star ingredient(s): Hyaluronic acid, which moisturises and boosts collagen synthesis, giving both a plumping and hydrating effect.

About the brand: My Beauty Diary is a Taiwanese label that, like Papa Recipe, takes its inspiration from nature. It also has an incredibly loyal following on Reddit.

Rating: 4.5/5

So there you have it, some sheet masks to get you (or at least your skin) through the bitter cold! If you have your own dry-skin saviours, comment below, and if you want more updates, don’t forget to follow Yeon & Bee on Facebook.
